STEP 2 - APPLY FOR YOUR REGISTRATION

To represent TSIGC and sell residential home-improvement projects, you must obtain an active Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) registration through the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB).

Click “Download CSLB HIS Application” to begin.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO

1. Complete the HIS Application

Download, complete, and sign the CSLB Home Improvement Salesperson application.

2. Submit Your Application to CSLB
Send your completed application directly to CSLB with the required $200 application fee.

3. Complete Your Live Scan
After CSLB processes your application, they will provide your Live Scan form and fingerprinting instructions. Take the form and valid identification to an authorized Live Scan location. (We can help you find the nearest location)

4. Wait for CSLB Approval
CSLB will process your application, fingerprints, and background check. Processing times may vary.

5. Send Us Your HIS Number
Once your HIS registration is active, provide your registration information to TSIGC.

WE HANDLE THE REST

Once your HIS registration is active, TSIGC will complete the required CSLB employment association with our contractor license and guide you through the next steps of your sales onboarding.

Application and Live Scan fees are the responsibility of the applicant.

IMPORTANT: You may not begin soliciting or selling home-improvement projects on behalf of TSIGC until your HIS registration is active and your association with TSIGC has been completed.
